when i used to go to church when i was a kid, my youth pastor took us all to an internet cafe and we played CS 1.5

i did the cafe thing a couple more times, then i got older and got internet and a computer at my house and played there, but never online, only 1.5 against my brothers , i started playing scoutzknivez sometime during 1.6, then i spend a whole summer of long nights playing KZ maps

took a long break from CS somewhere in there, when i came back i installed CSS, started playing it, and couldnt go back to 1.6 Sad, sadface cause i was one of those people who said CSS was for losers real men stick with 1.6 Tongue

and now... im hooked on starcraft 2 Tongue just got promoted to platinum league 1v1

It's only a shame that those games are always real short.

I was in a CoD1/ CoD:UO (expansion) rifles only clan of like 200 people, amazing clan and some of them started a CSS section and wanted me to join, i had never heard of CS before then actually (i was young).  So the clan fell through and everything so i helped run a Surf server, then was a "partner" i guess you could say in bringing the dodgeball mod to CSS.. then a zombie clan which was actually really successful and then moved on to SK to feed my Rifle only addiction back from CoD lol

Started about 8 years ago, I started playing 1.5 and started playing the new versions  when they came out, naturally.

I saw my "Step Father" was really into it, and he was (is) a real cool guy (of course my brothers enjoyed it as well) so I thought I would give it a try, kept playing it, Scoutz Knivez was his game so I ended up trying that after and it was fun, so yeah.

my best friend brought me to an internet cafe and he paid for me  Cheesy. It was hard at first because he would always buy guns but eventually we got to the same level and pwn all those ppl at the cafe. We only played reg maps (de_dust, cs_assualt, de_dust2 etc) on 1.6.  a couple of years later i learned about sk and i wanted to learn how to jump in the air and fly hack.

How did YOU start playing CSS? When did you start? What was it like at first? Did you originally play 1.6? Just something fun to learn about everyone Smiley

It's cool to see a game that's not like "KILL STUFF, GET REWARDS" and "SHOOT STUFF, IT'S FUN" for once, not saying those games are bad, but it's nice to see something original that can't be defined as easily
